A gift of stock can be a mutually beneficial way to support education!
For some donors, giving a gift of mature stocks or securities can be a tax-advantaged way to support a cause they believe in. The donor can save on captial gains tax while the nonprofit can put the funds to use right away.
The Bellingham Public Schools Foundation gratefully accepts gifts of stock and we are happy to facilitate the process in any way.

INITIATE A TRANSFER
Initiate a transfer of any stock or securities that you have identified (do not sell) or provide this information to your broker or financial advisor in written form. You will need the following information to initate the transfer.

The Foundation will send a timely confirmation and thank you for your generous gift!
NOTIFY THE FOUNDATION
Call or email the Foundation to notify us once the trade has been initiated so we can monitor our account for receipt of the shares. It is the Foundation’s policy to quickly sell the gifted shares.
